Houngbo, opende de 113e Internationale Arbeidsconferentie met een herbevestiging van het \u201cstrategische belang van het mandaat van de ILO\u201d in een wereld van arbeid die ingrijpend verandert.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHet normatieve mandaat van de ILO is vandaag relevanter dan ooit,\u201d benadrukte Houngbo in zijn openingsrede. \u201cDit omvat niet alleen de ontwikkeling, implementatie en toezicht op internationale arbeidsnormen, maar ook de dringende noodzaak om eerlijke concurrentievoorwaarden te waarborgen in een steeds meer onderling verbonden en snel veranderende wereldeconomie.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De Directeur-Generaal wees daarnaast op de rol van de organisatie in het bevorderen van sociale rechtvaardigheid via ge\u00efntegreerd beleid. \u201cWe kunnen en moeten vastberaden en consistent handelen om sociale rechtvaardigheid te bevorderen door een beter evenwicht tussen economische, sociale en ecologische dimensies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Houngbo erkende dat multilaterale instellingen zoals de ILO zich in een periode van diepgaande transformatie bevinden. Hoewel hij de onzekerheid erkende rond de toekomst van het multilateralisme, waarschuwde hij voor nostalgie naar een ge\u00efdealiseerd verleden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;We kunnen en moeten vastberaden en consistent handelen om sociale rechtvaardigheid te bevorderen door een beter evenwicht tussen economische, sociale en ecologische dimensies.&#8221;<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gilbert F. Houngbo, Directeur-Generaal van de ILO<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe moeten ons daarentegen blijven richten op het unieke doel van de ILO, zoals vastgelegd in haar Statuten, en op de blijvende bijdrage die zij wereldwijd heeft geleverd,\u201d verklaarde hij. \u201cAls instelling moeten wij de moed, de nederigheid en het luister- en aanpassingsvermogen hebben, evenals het vooruitzicht om vastberaden naar de toekomst te kijken.&#8221; &#8220;Deze context vraagt om hervormingen \u2013 gericht op grotere doeltreffendheid, maar ook op grotere effici\u00ebntie.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Houngbo wees er tevens op dat de trage wereldwijde economische groei en toenemende handelsconflicten druk uitoefenen op het cre\u00ebren van werkgelegenheid. Hij benadrukte dat \u201cwerkgelegenheid geen passief resultaat is van economische groei \u2013 het moet er actief deel van uitmaken,\u201d en pleitte voor sterkere koppelingen tussen werkcreatie, bescherming van werknemers en inclusieve, democratische ontwikkeling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De jaarlijkse conferentie van de ILO brengt vertegenwoordigers van werknemers, werkgevers en regeringen uit de 187 lidstaten bijeen om uiteenlopende onderwerpen te bespreken die op lange termijn invloed hebben op de arbeidswereld. VSB participeert als constituent van de ILO aan deze conferentie. De agenda omvat onder meer:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Biologische gevaren op het werk \u2013 tweede bespreking over voorgestelde normen;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fatsoenlijk werk in de platformeconomie \u2013 eerste normstellende bespreking;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ontwerp van het programma en de begroting voor 2026\u20132027 \u2013 evaluatie van voorgestelde uitgaven, bijdragen en financi\u00eble verslagen;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overgang naar formaliteit en fatsoenlijk werk \u2013 algemene bespreking over innovatieve benaderingen;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Toepassing van internationale arbeidsnormen 2025 \u2013 informatie en rapporten over de toepassing van verdragen en aanbevelingen;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Top over Sociale Ontwikkeling 2025 \u2013 tripartiete inbreng over de bijdrage van de ILO;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maritiem Arbeidsverdrag \u2013 goedkeuring van de wijzigingen aan de MLC-Code voor 2025.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het tweede jaar forum van de Global Coalition for Social Justice vindt plaats op donderdag 12 juni 2025 en brengt coalitiepartners en geaccrediteerde ILO-delegaties samen die deelnemen aan de conferentie.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-1 fusion_builder_column_1_3 1_3
