De meeting vond plaats in het kader van de 113e Internationale Arbeidsconferentie in Gen\u00e8ve en werd voorgezeten door ILO Regionaal Directeur Anna Virginia en de ILO Directeur voor het Caribisch gebied, Joni Musabayana.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tijdens zijn toespraak benadrukte Ganesh het belang van het lopende derde Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) van Suriname. Hij pleitte voor voortgezette technische en beleidsmatige ondersteuning van de ILO bij de implementatie van dit programma, dat cruciaal is voor duurzame economische ontwikkeling en sociale rechtvaardigheid in Suriname.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Daarnaast vestigde Ganesh nadrukkelijk de aandacht op vijf strategische thema\u2019s die volgens de VSB blijvende aandacht verdienen binnen het ILO-kader:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Onderwijs: het belang van aansluiting tussen onderwijs, vakmanschap en regionale arbeidsmobiliteit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Formalisering van de economie: ondersteuning bij het terugdringen van informele arbeid en het bevorderen van duurzame ondernemingen. ILO heeft hier ook een aanvang gemaakt met het uitvoeren van studies in Suriname.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sociale dialoog: voor versterking van tripartiete samenwerking als basis voor stabiele arbeidsverhoudingen. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just Transition: een eerlijke en inclusieve transitie naar een duurzame economie.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sociale bescherming: het belang van toegankelijke en veerkrachtige vangnetten voor alle werkenden.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De VSB-directeur benadrukte dat effectieve samenwerking tussen de ILO, overheden en sociale partners in het Caribisch gebied van cruciaal belang blijft voor het versterken van werkgelegenheid, productiviteit en sociale cohesie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De VSB blijft zich actief inzetten voor het realiseren van deze doelstellingen in Suriname, in nauwe afstemming met nationale en internationale
