Onder het thema \u201cShaping the Next Infrastructure \u2013 By Design, Not by Default\u201d benadrukte Kotzebue dat Suriname zich op een cruciaal keerpunt bevindt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kotzebue schetste hoe de opkomende olie- en gasindustrie voor Suriname ongekende economische kansen cre\u00ebert. Maar zij waarschuwde ook: zonder een samenhangend ruimtelijk ontwikkelingsplan en zonder tijdige investeringen in logistiek, transport en duurzame infrastructuur loopt Suriname het risico dat deze kansen slechts tijdelijk of ongelijk verdeeld zullen zijn. \u201cWe moeten nu handelen om te voorkomen dat groei zich ongecontroleerd en ineffici\u00ebnt voltrekt.&#8221; &#8220;De keuzes die we vandaag maken, bepalen of we duurzame welvaart cre\u00ebren of achterblijven,\u201d aldus Kotzebue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De VSB presenteerde tijdens de sessie diverse strategische prioriteiten:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Integrale ruimtelijke planning: Kotzebue benadrukte het belang van een landelijk ruimtelijk ontwikkelingsplan dat economische zones, woongebieden, beschermde natuurgebieden en infrastructuurstromen in balans brengt. Dit moet volgens de VSB nauw aansluiten bij Suriname\u2019s Green Development Strategy (GDS) 2025\u20132050.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Duurzaam transport en logistiek: De presentatie legde speciale nadruk op de noodzakelijke modernisering van het luchtvaart- en havennetwerk, inclusief de uitbreiding van de J.A. Pengel International Airport en de ontwikkeling van shorebase-faciliteiten voor de olie- en gassector. Ook werd gewezen op de kansen voor verduurzaming via elektrificatie van transport en betere regionale connectiviteit.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Economische diversificatie buiten de extractieve sector: Kotzebue wees erop dat naast olie en gas ook sectoren zoals landbouw, toerisme en ICT door middel van strategische infrastructuurontwikkeling versterkt kunnen worden.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Publiek-private samenwerking (PPP): Een centraal thema in de presentatie was de oproep tot nauwere samenwerking tussen overheid en bedrijfsleven bij de planning en realisatie van infrastructuurprojecten.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Met deze bijdrage onderstreepte de VSB haar rol als bruggenbouwer tussen de private sector, beleidsmakers en internationale partners. De boodschap was helder: \u201cInfrastructuur moet het resultaat zijn van bewuste keuzes, niet van toevallige ontwikkelingen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-1 fusion_builder_column_1_3 1_3 fusion-one-third fusion-column-last\" style=\"width:30.6666%;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\" style=\"background-position:left
