Een gezonde beroepsbevolking vormt de ruggengraat van een productieve en concurrerende economie (SDG 3). Vanuit het perspectief van het bedrijfsleven is investeren in preventieve gezondheidszorg daarom geen sociale kostenpost, maar een strategische economische investering. Effectieve preventie verlaagt ziekteverzuim, vermindert langdurige arbeidsongeschiktheid en beperkt de druk op zowel werkgevers als het nationale zorgsysteem.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">De VSB pleit voor gerichte versterking van sleutelinstellingen zoals de Regionale Gezondheidsdienst (RGD) en de Medische Zending (MZ), <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in geheel Suriname<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, maar zeker in het binnenland en in kwetsbare gemeenschappen. Tegelijkertijd is een herstructurering en modernisering van het Bureau voor Openbare Gezondheidszorg (BOG) noodzakelijk, zodat preventie, monitoring en snelle respons op gezondheidsrisico\u2019s beter aansluiten op internationale standaarden en private sector behoeften.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Brede en betrouwbare toegang tot preventieve zorg draagt direct bij aan arbeidsproductiviteit, continu\u00efteit van bedrijfsprocessen en voorspelbaarheid voor investeerders. Bedrijven opereren immers het meest effectief in een samenleving waarin werknemers fysiek en mentaal weerbaar zijn, en waarin gezondheidscrises tijdig worden voorkomen in plaats van achteraf worden bestreden.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Het mentaal aspect<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Naast fysieke gezondheid verdient ook mentale gezondheid expliciete aandacht binnen preventief gezondheidsbeleid. Psychosociale klachten zoals stress, burn-out, depressie en angststoornissen behoren wereldwijd tot de grootste oorzaken van productiviteitsverlies, ziekteverzuim en vroegtijdige uitval op de arbeidsmarkt. Ook in Suriname neemt deze problematiek toe, mede onder invloed van economische onzekerheid, hoge werkdruk en beperkte toegang tot professionele ondersteuning.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Voor het bedrijfsleven betekent dit hogere indirecte kosten, verminderde prestaties en een afname van arbeidsproductiviteit. Preventieve investeringen in mentale gezondheid, waaronder vroegsignalering, laagdrempelige begeleiding, bewustwordingsprogramma\u2019s en betere doorverwijzing binnen het zorgsysteem, zijn daarom essentieel om menselijk kapitaal duurzaam inzetbaar te houden.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Allerhoogste tijd voor het erkennen van de deskundigheid van de bedrijfs-\/arbo arts als medisch specialist, de preventief opgeleide specialist bij uitstek.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Een arts met onvoldoende ervaring, kennis, deskundigheid en opleiding met name op het gebied van verzuim, re\u00efntegratie en arbeidsrelaties\/-verhoudingen, zal dit helaas nooit in goede banen kunnen leiden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Van de Overheid c.q.
