Minister Steven Mac Andrew zat er aan, samen met zijn staf. VSB was vertegenwoordigd door Bestuurslid Rekha Bissumbar, ondersteunt door Deputy Director Kamlesh Ganesh en Liaison Officer Seran Naarden.\u00a0 Er is over een aantal onderwerpen gesproken die de arbeidswereld raken.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nieuwe Wetgeving<br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Het Ministerie\u00a0treft momenteel bijvoorbeeld voorbereidingen voor een vlotte implementatie van de wetten: \u2018Geweld en Seksuele Intimidatie Arbeid\u2019 en \u2018Gelijke Behandeling Arbeid\u2019. Hiertoe heeft minister Mac Andrew tijdens een werkoverleg met leidinggevenden en staffunctionarissen van relevante afdelingen van zijn ministerie op dinsdag 18 oktober 2022 de nodige instructies gegeven over de uitvoering van de twee wetten.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De onderdelen die vooral betrokken zullen zijn bij de implementatie van deze wetten zijn: het directoraat Arbeidsinspectie voor de naleving en handhaving van de wetten, het onderdirectoraat Juridische en Internationale Zaken (JIZ) voor de voorbereiding van onder andere de staatsbesluiten die worden genoemd in de wetten en de Communicatie Unit die uitgebreid en landelijk voorlichting zal geven over de wetten. Voor werkgevers- en werknemersorganisaties zullen speciale presentaties worden gehouden. Voorafgaand aan de implementatie van deze wetten zullen de arbeidsinspecteurs en de voorlichting medewerkers worden getraind in hoe de wetten toe te passen in de praktijk en hoe de verschillende artikelen ge\u00efnterpreteerd dienen te worden. Ook zullen de arbeidsinspecteurs worden ge\u00efnstrueerd over naleving en handhaving.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Arbeidsmarkt Beleid<br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mw. Naomi Esajas, Onderdirecteur Arbeidsmarkt gaf middels een presentatie een overzicht van de arbeidsmarkt situatie. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Geschatte informaliteit van de Surinaamse economie bijvoorbeeld is conform de recent beschikbare cijfers ruim 54 % van de Nationale BBP. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De Arbeid Participatorio was in 2021 :mannen: 60,2 % \/vrouwen: 37,4 %.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enkele belangrijke toekomst prioriteiten zijn:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Afstemming onderwijs\/trainingsaanbod op de vraag zijde van de arbeidsmarkt ;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Verbeteren van arbeidsmarktinformatie\u00a0 en de toegang daarvan (data en data-analyse);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zorgen voor een goede afstemming van vraag naar en aanbod van arbeid;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stroomlijning van activeringsmaatregelen met sociale uitkeringen.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Occupational Safety and Health<br \/>\n<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Met de minister werd ook gesproken over Occupational Safety and Health.\u00a0 Tijdens de International Labour Conference eerder dit jaar,\u00a0 heeft de Commissie General Affairs, waar de VSB ook aan heeft bijgedragen, de resolutie aangenomen om veiligheid en gezondheid op het werk als nieuw beginsel op te nemen in de ILO-verklaring van <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilo.org\/wcmsp5\/groups\/public\/---ed_norm\/---declaration\/documents\/normativeinstrument\/wcms_716594.pdf\">1998 inzake fundamentele beginselen en rechten op het werk<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, en om <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilo.org\/dyn\/normlex\/en\/f?p=NORMLEXPUB:12100:0::NO::P12100_ILO_CODE:C155\">Verdrag 155<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> en <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilo.org\/dyn\/normlex\/en\/f?p=NORMLEXPUB:12100:0::NO::P12100_ILO_CODE:C187\">Verdrag 187<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> als fundamentele verdragen te erkennen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De Groep Werkgevers heeft herhaaldelijk gewezen op de belangrijke gevolgen die een dergelijke brede opneming zal hebben voor regeringen en werkgevers, niet alleen binnen maar ook buiten de context van de ILO.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De Arbo wet is momenteel in De nationale Assemblee. De VSB heeft erop aangedrongen te willen participeren in alle discussies rond de aanname van deze wet en de ratificatie van de verdragen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Verder is er gesproken over wel of geen noodzaak voor een Arbeidskamer, de wijziging van de Ontslagwet en de Wet regarderende Uitzendkrachten.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div
