Waar praten we over? Over het algemeen komt veiligheid pas aande orde als er al zaken mis zijn gegaan, en over psychologische veiligheid praten w helemaal veel te weinig.<\/p>\n<p>Vaak praten we wel over situaties op de werkplek als eriets gebeurd is en we willen weten wie feitelijk iets verkeerds heeft gedaan: wie is de veroorzaker?<\/p>\n<p>Dan wordt er wel gesproken over \u201cfeiten\u201d, \u201cdader(s)\u201d en \u201cslachtoffer\u201d(s). Het lijkt erop dat we dus pas over zaken praten als het voor een \u201cslachtoffer\u201d echt te veel is en die zijn\/haar mond open <strong><u>durft<\/u><\/strong> te doen. Bij psychologische onveiligheid gaat het verder en dieper dan fysieke veiligheid. We praten dan over de psyche van een ieder binnen de organisatie, van hoog tot laag!!<\/p>\n<p>Dat is dus de <strong><u>angst<\/u><\/strong> die er binnen een organisatie kan heersen. Angst voor je baan, je inkomen, je persoonlijke groei, en nog veel meer, ieder mens heeft zo zijn eigen persoonlijke angsten. \u00a0Angst is dan wel een slechte raadgever, maar in sommige situaties, als een bedreiging terecht of onterecht als realiteit wordt ervaren dan beschermen mensen zichzelf en praten er liever niet over.<\/p>\n<p>Het ligt vaak verborgen in de cultuur binnen een organisatie en als we de ogen daar niet voor openen blijft die onveiligheid, die angst stil rondsluipend aanwezig. Iedereen doet dan alsof er niets aan de hand is. Zelfs is er dan soms sprake van een mooi glanzende organisatie die van binnen onopvallend en stil aan het verrotten is.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe zijn hier echt een familie\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dit lijkt zo positief, maar als we even doordenken en heel eerlijk zijn, dan weten we toch wel hoe groot de <em>mantels der liefde <\/em>binnen families kunnen zijn. Grote mantels kunnen veel bedekken.<\/p>\n<p>Een mamio van \u2018familie mantels der liefde\u2019 is echt niet mooi!!<\/p>\n<p>Die vuile was die binnen blijft gaat echt stinken. We spuiten met allerlei lekker luchtjes om de geur binnen te houden. Soms hangen we zelfs heel mooi ogende mantels voor de ramen!<\/p>\n<p>Veel families accepteren dat en beschermen de familie-moraal door inderdaad te zorgen dat niets naar buiten gaat. De onderlinge liefde maakt tenslotte alles weer goed: familie kijft, familie bijft!<\/p>\n<p>Wie durft\u00a0 de mantels te verwijderen en de ramen open te doen?<\/p>\n<p>Vertaal dit naar een organisatie.<\/p>\n<p>Onderzoeken hebben uitgewezen dat in gezonde organisaties met psychologische veiligheid er veel meer interne openheid is. Betrokkenen durven veel opener en eerlijker hun mening te uiten. Zij voelen zich zelf daar veilig genoeg bij om niet bang te te zijn als ze een keer een fout maken.<\/p>\n<p>Die mensen durven veel meer zichzelf te zijn, omdat ze zich veilig voelen!!<\/p>\n<p>Mensen in een veilige omgeving zetten hun talenten makkelijker in. Ze werken harder werken aan verbetering van de organisatie en haar functioneren. Daardoor zetten ze zich harder in voor het bereiken van de organisatiedoelen, waardoor de organisatie veel beter kan groeien!<\/p>\n<p>De consequentie van psychologische onveiligheid is veel groter dan we mogelijk beseffen.<\/p>\n<p>Bedenk waarom veel mensen soms hun mond houden als ze eigenlijk iets willen zeggen in reactie op een uitspraak of een bepaald gedrag<\/p>\n<p>De gedachte: \u201cBeter hou ik mijn mond, want je weet nooit wat ze ermee doen.\u201d \u201cZe zijn hier zo rancuneus!\u201d of \u201cIk zeg niets, ik heb gezien wat er met die en die is gebeurd\u201d En deze dan: \u00a0\u201cIk wil niet aan het brood van die ander komen\u201d. \u201c<\/p>\n<p>Volgende keer praten we verder over psychologische veiligheid binnen organisaties.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cNiemand springt \u2019s ochtends uit bed, popelend om aan de werkdag te beginnen en incompetent, opdringerig en negatief over te
