(RGM), voor de 8ste keer de Brokopondo Speech Contest georganiseerd te Brokopondo Centrum. Uit de 18 participanten werd finalist Jennefer Aloeboetoe van Mulo Brokopondo, die op voortreffelijke wijze en zeer overtuigend haar speech vertolkte, gekozen tot winnaar voor het jaar 2023. De overige winnaars zijn Jeniva Smit (2de plaats), Rujetha Antomoi (3de plaats), Lafurterey Baisie (4de plaats) en Joshua Pansa (5de plaats). De winnaars ontvingen trofee\u00ebn, laptops en prijzenpakketten met een totale waarde van rond de SRD100.000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De Brokopondo Speech Contest is onderdeel van het Youth Talent Development (YTD) Programma, dat jaarlijks door de Community Relations and Development afdeling van RGM wordt uitgevoerd. Dit programma werd ge\u00efnitieerd in 2012 en heeft als doel talentvolle jongeren in het district te helpen hun vaardigheden te identificeren en te ontwikkelen waardoor zij zelfvertrouwen kunnen opbouwen. Dit programma bestaat niet alleen uit een Speech Contest, maar ook een Scholenquiz welke in de maand juli werd georganiseerd. Daarbij zijn de R.M Schmidtschool en de Dani\u00ebl IJveraarschool uitgeroepen tot respectievelijk Kampioen en Semi-Kampioen van de RGM Scholenquiz 2023. RGM biedt door middel van dit programma ondersteuning aan verschillende instanties die werken aan vorming en capaciteitsversterking binnen het district, waaronder het Ministerie van Onderwijs Wetenschap en Cultuur, de Stichting Onderwijs der EBGS en het Rooms Katholiek Bijzonder Onderwijs (RKBO).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jerry Finisie, Community Relations and Development Manager bij RGM, was bijzonder trots op het feit dat andere bedrijven in het district dit jaar besloten hebben om het evenement mede te sponsoren: \u201cHet is voor ons een vorm van teruggeven aan het district en het is prijzenswaardig dat we nu ook partners hebben die bereid zijn mee te investeren in de jeugd van Brokopondo en zo ook meehelpen ons mooi land verder te ontwikkelen.\u201d De bedrijven actief binnen het district Brokopondo die ook hebben bijgedragen aan dit project zijn SEMC Motors N.V., Kamp Transport, N.V. Powachiny en Haukes Labour N.V.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-1 fusion_builder_column_1_3 1_3 fusion-one-third fusion-column-last\" style=\"width:30.6666%;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-column-wrapper-legacy\"
