Het is meerdere keren besproken met de minister van Arbeid, Werkgelegenheid en Jeugdzaken (AWJ) en is ook aan bod gekomen in het Tripartiet Overleg (TO).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De Vereniging Surinaams Bedrijfsleven (VSB) kan binnenkort feedback verwachten van Minister AWJ met betrekking tot de kwestie. De dispensatieregels die zijn voorgesteld door het bedrijfsleven en de vakbeweging zullen worden meegenomen, zoals besproken in het Tripartiet Overleg.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al geruime tijd heeft de VSB onderhandeld met de overheid over de implementatie van de Wet Arbeidsbescherming Gezin. Deze wet bevat regels met betrekking tot zwangerschapsverlof, bevallingsverlof en vaderschapsverlof. Het hoofddoel van deze wet is om adequate voorzieningen te cre\u00ebren voor gezinnen in geval van zwangerschap van vrouwelijke werknemers in de particuliere sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Om dit te bereiken, heeft de overheid, zoals bepaald in de wet, het Fonds Voorzieningen Ouderschapsverlof (FVO) opgericht en worden zowel werknemers als werkgevers verplicht om maandelijks een half procent van hun brutoloon bij te dragen aan dit fonds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De VSB ondersteunt het doel van de wet om adequate voorzieningen te bieden, maar verschilt van mening met de overheid over de manier waarop deze voorzieningen moeten worden ge\u00efmplementeerd. Veel leden van de VSB bieden al dergelijke voorzieningen aan hun werknemers of zijn financieel in staat en bereid om zich aan de wet te houden. De VSB vindt dat secundaire voorzieningen voor werknemers in de particuliere sector in de eerste plaats de verantwoordelijkheid van de werkgever zijn. Alleen wanneer de werkgever duidelijk niet in staat is om hierin te voorzien, moet de overheid hulp of ondersteuning bieden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bovendien merkt de VSB op dat werknemers en werkgevers in de particuliere sector net als andere leden van de samenleving te maken hebben met extreme prijsstijgingen en dalende lonen. In deze omstandigheden is een extra inhouding op het loon volgens de VSB volledig ongepast en getuigt dit van een gebrek aan begrip van de kant van de autoriteiten.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tijdens de gesprekken met de overheid heeft de VSB herhaaldelijk gevraagd om bedrijven die al volledige of zelfs uitgebreidere ouderschapsvoorzieningen hebben geregeld in collectieve arbeidsovereenkomsten of andere personeelsreglementen, toestemming te geven om deze regelingen voort te zetten zonder extra belasting voor werknemers. Aanvankelijk toonde de overheid tijdens de gesprekken in het kader van de Nationale Dialoog openheid voor deze afwijkende uitvoering van de regeling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Als gevolg hiervan heeft de VSB een wetswijzigingsvoorstel opgesteld en naar de minister van Arbeid, Werkgelegenheid en Jeugdzaken (AWJ) gestuurd.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div
