Als onderdeel van dit initiatief organiseert het ministerie een vijfdaagse workshop van 4 tot 8 maart 2024 in Paramaribo. Verschillende belanghebbenden, waaronder de Vereniging Surinaams Bedrijfsleven (VSB), zijn uitgenodigd om te praten over diverse onderwerpen met betrekking tot duurzaam bosbeheer en financiering.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De workshop begint op 4 maart. Tijdens de eerste sessie worden de doelstellingen van de workshop toegelicht, wordt een overzicht van duurzaam bosbeheer gepresenteerd en worden de oorzaken van ontbossing besproken.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Op dag twee staat de toegang tot financiering voor de implementatie van het UN Forest Instrument en duurzaam bosbeheer centraal. Vertegenwoordigers van de Voedsel- en Landbouworganisatie (FAO) presenteren de financieringsstrategie van Suriname, terwijl de UNFF inzicht geeft in financieringsmogelijkheden en uitdagingen voor duurzaam bosbeheer. Deelnemers gaan in groepen aan de slag met het identificeren van financieringslacunes en het opstellen van actieplannen voor het mobiliseren van middelen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De derde dag richt zich op het vertalen van doelstellingen naar acties, mijlpalen en doelen. Er wordt aandacht besteed aan bedreigings- en barri\u00e8reanalyses, en deelnemers werken in groepen aan het opstellen van een logisch kader. Daarnaast wordt de rol van het Green Climate Fund (GCF) besproken, waarbij deelnemers leren hoe ze klimaatrationale moeten articuleren en voldoen aan de investeringscriteria van de GCF.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De vierde dag van de workshop behandelt het indienen van voorstellen bij het GCF en het Global Environment Facility (GEF), waarbij onderwerpen als stakeholderanalyse, risicoanalyse en milieubeschermingsmaatregelen aan bod komen. Financieringsmodellen, institutionele en administratieve regelingen worden ook besproken.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Op de laatste dag worden de resultaten van de workshop gepresenteerd, gevolgd door een evaluatie en afsluiting van het evenement.
