The N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname / Suriname Port Management Company has again succeeded in becoming the winner of the Port of the Year Competition of the Caribbean Shipping Association (CSA).ย This award is an indicator of the โperformanceโ that the port manages to achieve. The presentation of this award is part of the annual conference of the Caribbean Shipping Association. This year’s 52nd conference of the CSA was held in San Juan-Puerto Rico, from ๐ข๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฏ๐ญ ๐๐ผ ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฎ.
It is worth mentioning that this is the fourth time that the Suriname Port Management Company has won a prize. The award ceremony will take place in Suriname in January 2023. A delegation will travel to Suriname especially for this occasion. | N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname will be represented during the conference by the general director, Drs. Andreas Talea, the president of the board, Ing. Leo Brunswijk and the manager corporate strategy and commercial services, Drs. Vanessa Aman. The CSA is the region’s shipping and port industry association with members from outside the area including Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica as well as the ports of Houston, Miami, Jacksonville and Tampa. There were a total of 15 participants in the competition.
With this result, N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname proves that the company is not only able to keep its head above water despite challenging circumstances, but also to make good progress, partly on the basis of Public Private Partnership.ย
