Since february 2022 the operations of Greenheart Suriname are online (https://www.greenheartsuriname.com/). Greenheart Suriname took this initiative to share the real Greenheart story in which ‘from forest to buyer with a certified product, as a result of sustainable forest management, sawmilling & further processing’ is being highlighted. The initiative also serves to share about her high quality products which are being produced in a safe working environment. Greenheart Suriname will also share her activities regarding her community-involvement.
Greenheart is a certified forestry multinational. 95% of the the forestry, sawmill & export operations in Suriname are run by a local Surinamese team. In 2011 Greenheart took its first step to become a wood producing company in Suriname. In August 2012, the company strengthened her sustainable operations in Suriname with the construction of a processing facility in West Suriname, one of the largest of its kind in the Suriname and Guyana belt. Their activities range from forest exploitation to wood processing. Working according to strict international forestry rules and regulations has made them one of the most sustainable forestry operating companies in Suriname.
