Baitali Group of Companies has donated today a security booth to STICRIS as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy and support to the SDGs.
STICRIS (Foundation home for women in Crisis situations) is a shelter for abused women and their children in Suriname. After 8 years out of circulation, a completely renewed and modern-style reception building for women was resurrected in October 2020. The shelter can safely accommodate 13 women and about 40 children who are in a crisis situation for a certain period of time, after which a permanent shelter is sought. Sticris also helps to find employment for the women.
