The Guyana-Suriname Private Sector Business Council held its second meeting on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in the Boardroom of The Private Sector Commission of Guyana Limited Secretariat in Guyana.

Mr. Bryan Renten, Chairman of the Suriname Trade and Industry Association currently chairs the Council, which was officially established on March 16, 2022, in Paramaribo, Suriname.

The first meeting of the Council which was held in Suriname in March of this year, focused on a SWOT regarding strengthening the business relations between both private-sectors. This second meeting focused on SWOTs regarding the Agricultural, Logistical, Medical and Tourism sectors. The results of this work will be presented to both governments for their agenda at the Caricom Heads of States meet in Suriname in July 2022.
